I have always loved pretty and flowery dresses, and I get a few new dresses every spring. They are excellent for garden parties, picnics, spring and summer weddings, garden-themed baby showers, church, and the list goes on. I spend my Saturdays drowned in laundry and other household chores, and my Sundays are for self-care. I take long showers, and if I am in the mood, I deep myself in the bath filled with the sweetest smelling bath bombs while listening to self-help books on audible. After this deep cleanse, I always make sure I dress up in some beautiful dress, and this makes me feel so happy and ready to tackle the new week. Usually, this is followed by meal prepping lunches for the week and working in the office planning my experiments, and calling family and friends.
My favorite go-to dresses have bright flowers on them, and as I write this, I am staring at my clothes rack choke-full of colorful flowery dresses. They go so well with my personality. I got this dress sometime last year in preparation for spring, but as we all know, we were stuck indoors under lockdown when spring sprung. I still wore my favorite dresses inside the house, since I dress up for myself, and its one of the things that bring me joy.
For styling, I added light-colored shoes, since dark shoes do not go well with very light dresses in my opinion. I also threw on a bright-colored crossbody that compliments the pink flowers in the dress very well. Another option will be to remove the fabric belt it came with and add a thin light pink belt. I cannot find this very dress online, but I found a similar dress with exactly the same fabric here.
I sincerely hope this post will inspire you to wear your dresses, even if its for spending the whole day at home. Dresses are so much fun and easy to style. You only have to worry about the accessories, since the outfit is mainly just one piece - the dress.
With so much love,
